Do you have any unwanted toys? Need a reason for a clear-out before Christmas? Great! We’d be sooooo pleased if you’d donate toys – that are in good working order, with no fur or fabric – and we’ll take them to the Haemophilia Unit at Birmingham Children’s Hospital to be Reloved! Reloved : Rehoming toys to BCH.
The children visiting the Unit often have to spend a lot of time there, receiving sometimes uncomfortable, painful treatment and then need to take a while to recover. The toys at the Unit are enjoyed by the children and are often loved so much, they’re taken home for comfort. Funny Blood aims to replenish and maintain the amount of toys at the Unit, so all of the children can have the happiest time possible.
Usually, only new toys are allowed in hospitals like Birmingham Children’s, but as the Haemophilia Unit is an Outpatient Clinic, the rules are slightly different. We’ve already started our campaign so, if you’d like to help, please like and share our page and posts on Facebook, follow and retweet on Twitter, tell all of your friends about it, so they can support our Reloved campaign too!
Best of luck Ruth (still can’t get used to Ruby!) I may have a couple of soft toys for you, will get in touch.
Thanks Jan! Your support would be appreciated … we’ve had an overwhelming response so are sharing the toys with Acorns Hospice in Worcester too! Take care, Ruth/Ruby x
Hi
Do you accept soft toys, I have a few that I have laundered ready for someone to love.
Hello! Whilst BCH can’t accept them, Acorns can! Any support you can give would be greatly appreciated from us all. Thank you x
Hi I have a few toys to donate where I can drop them? Thanks
Hello Donna! Thanks for your comment and support for the Reloved campaign. It’d be fab if you could drop the toys with your local Acorns Hospice or shop, if that’s easier for you? Please just let the team know that they’re provided via a Funny Blood supporter. Thank you, Ruby x
