“Matt Woolridge and his team are supporting local good cause Funny Blood and undertaking 7 Challenges in 7 Weeks as they discovered that the human body is made up of 7% blood. The project went from there and is now gaining momentum to become one of Funny Blood’s key campaigns for 2015! Sanctuary Housing, sponsors of the module, have proudly awarded Matt – as well as another team who are supporting Acorns with a Valentine’s Ball – with their prestigious award and a coveted £50 grant.

The students launched their project by hitting 7 balls against Davis Cup players at Pershore Tennis Centre, then ran 7 miles at Rivers and will next be undertaking challenges at Worcester Wolves, Park Farm Shoot and Worcester City FC before donating blood to NHS Blood and Transplant.

Rebecca Jones a Lecturer in Business and Management at the University is also delighted with how successful the module has been so far :

‘At Worcester Business School we are very proud of our students who work extremely hard to create innovative projects on behalf of their selected charities and causes. Therefore we are very pleased that Sanctuary have worked in partnership with us to recognise and reward the exceptional performance of our students in delivering professional pitches of their charitable projects with the Sanctuary award.'”
