Team FB are delighted to be awarded £500 from The Co-operative Group to help fund a project designed to support children living with PFD. The project – to be unveiled shortly – aims to support children in understanding their condition and  provide them with a platform for interaction and information about the condition. Radio gaga!

Team FB were asked to join BBC Radio DJ Tony Fisher this morning to talk about how they funded a fellow at the University of Birmingham.  Ruby and the team raised funds at a BBQ event earlier in the year and gave some of the monies to The Platelet Group (GAPP) at the University of Birmingham. Waitrose Community Matters

Each month every Waitrose branch donates £1,000 (£500 in Convenience shops) between three local good causes that their shoppers choose. It’s called their Community Matters scheme and at the checkout, shoppers receive a token to place in a box of the good cause they’d most like to support. The more tokens a cause gets, the bigger the donation they receive!
